Our 4-step process guides you step by step from your vision to a finished project.
Our Process

We begin by building an open dialogue with you. Together, we identify goals, visit the site, and learn from the land itself. With a clear understanding of priorities and budget, we translate these insights into a design concept that feels authentic, achievable, and aligned with your vision. In architectural terms, this phase is called “Schematic Design”.

With the schematic design approved, we start to shape the details — often collaborating with engineers to explore preliminary systems and strategies. The result is a clearer, more resolved vision of the project, supported by drawing documents that begin to guide conversations with builders. The technical term of this step is “Design Development”.

With the design refined, now we get to focus on the details. The result is a complete set of construction drawings and specifications that guide pricing, permitting, and building. In the industry we refer to this step as “Construction Documents”. If interested, we can also assist with contractor selection and negotiations to ensure alignment before construction begins.

As construction begins, we stay engaged to help ensure the work aligns with the design intent. We review progress, observe quality, and respond to questions from the field. When needed, we also review samples, submittals, and shop drawings to confirm consistency with the approved documents. That’s why the technical term for this step is “Construction Administration”.

Budgets are part of the design conversation from the start. If things shift, we adjust the design together so your vision stays aligned with your resources.
Can you also help with interiors?
Absolutely. From finishes and fixtures to lighting and millwork, we can provide interior design services tailored to your project’s needs.
Do I need to hire engineers or consultants?
For many projects, yes. Structural, mechanical, or landscape consultants may be involved — but we’re available to coordinate their work so you don’t have to manage multiple professionals separately.
